I'm Lauren Austin. I'm a full-time designer, part-time home DIYer, and an extra cream coffee lover.

I have a Fine Arts degree in the field of Industrial Design, and spent the first 13 years of my career primarily with Stanley Black & Decker's product development group. It's the time with them where I gained a plethora of knowledge and a resume of skills, in conjunction with pure design, that I bring to you now, outside the corporate walls.

I've created logos and graphics used commercially in North America and across the globe, hold a list of patents and intellectual property for various power tool, accessory, and packaging related designs, designed and launched 2 successful personal blogs (a wedding blog and home/mom/DIY blog), have organized and planned multiple large events including my own 2014 out-of-state wedding, created magazines and Visual Brand Guides, owned a profitable Etsy.com business for 2 years, and even designed 3 nationally run and televised NASCAR car designs.

I'm a highly organized, self-starting professional with strong problem-solving capabilities. I have a strong understanding of brand value, design signatures, and integrated marketing, and I demonstrate a high-level of self-motivation, eagerness to learn, and deliver quality services and products that are aligned with company goals and customer needs.

I'm proficient in the Adobe Creative Suite of products Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign, as well as Canva, Autodesk Sketchbook Pro along with Wacom digital rendering technology, web programs Squarespace and Wordpress, various social media platforms, and Microsoft Office. Ask yourself,

If you had me for X-amount-of-hours a week,
what could I do to help you?

My home life includes working on our fixer-upper of a house in the country north of Baltimore with my sincerely supportive husband Chris, two of the sweetest and humorous little girls, Emery and Charlie, our little guy Brooks, and our darling dog Darla.
